Five years ago, I dreamed I was at a large gathering, where we were directed to close our eyes and receive a psychospiritual message. Dream me did that, and those of us in the back row were asked to share our experiences.
I went first, taking the mic and explaining (and this is all real-life true) that my great-great grandfather “settled” a town in New Mexico, renamed “Watrous” after him, and while his death was called a suicide, he’d died from two gunshots to the head, which always struck me as a murder. I explained how his son, my great grandfather, who was a Rough Rider in the Spanish American war, later murdered his own son, and how I’d worked hard to reconcile the impacts of this cascading intergenerational trauma. Dream me then shared with the group that I’d just received the message that I needed to go to Watrous, NM. That I needed to reconcile with this place and its colonizing lineage in person.
Sometimes your dreams speak to you in Ancient Greek. Sometimes in plain English.
Tending that dream slowly wove together my practice of restorative empathy, my intersectional liberatory decolonial politics, my ancestral legacy and responsibilities, and my creative life into my first documentary film, “In the Wake of Our Ancestors.”
You can become part of that dream, while also tending your own dreams, by bidding on items in the film’s fundraising auction—which closes in 33 hours!
You can bid on an actual dream-tending session to better understand the messages in your own dreams.
Or support your dream of nurturing your partnership with an online class for two on bringing resonant language into your love communications.
There are also amazing trips, if your dream is travel.
Or you can have a breath and singing lesson with an international opera diva and songwriting sessions to move your musical dreams forward.
If you have a big dream that could use a year of group support, there’s admission to a powerful coaching program with bidding starting at $333 for a $2000 program.
If you’ve been dreaming about my ancestral healing work, there’s a first session on the auction that’s half the usual session price!
Whatever your dream, there’s something on this auction to help you take a leap forward, while joining me in my dream of bringing this film into the world.
We are the dreams of our ancestors come true, and our dreams are intertwined. Now’s the time to support both of our dreams–BIDDING CLOSES SUNDAY, NOV 19, at 7 pm PST!!!
Much love and empathy,
Angela
